Coordination Disorder

Do you notice your child falls a lot, bumps into other children, or is overall very clumsy? Does your child have difficulty with activities that require movement and coordination such as running, jumping, skipping, or riding a bike? Do they require more time to finish writing tasks at school? If so they may have Developmental Coordination Disorder, which is a disorder that effects the part of the brain involved in learning and then remembering movements. No matter how many times your child has repeated a specific activity, it may still seem new to them. This may lead to issues with lower self esteem and confidence because activities that are easy for their peers are difficult for them. I will work with your child to help improve their strength for both fine and gross motor activities, as well as target their balance and increase coordination in order to help them better participate in school and daily activities.
